REVIEW:

I received this book from the author for a blog tour.
And... this was amazing! It was nice to read a not so heavy book after just finishing Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, which was really sad.

It was a real nice change to read another book by Sarah and I am so glad that a few months ago she had reached out to me to review her debut because I loved it and loved this and if she hadn't reached out to me, I wouldn't have gotten the chance to read this!

The romance was great! I really enjoyed Noah and Georgie's romance and it was just so sweet the way they were with each other. The first chapter in this book was so heartbreaking and it was uncomfortable to read, however it was also a real issue in the world and I think it is great that authors acknowledge real life problems instead of keeping their characters in a fake bubble that would never be the way it would be in real life.

Noah was so sweet and I loved getting to read from his point of view because in Sarah's previous book it was the twins point of view but reading Noah's POV instead of reading a girls POV the entire time was nice. I enjoyed this book a lot and recommend it to all New Adult fans.

Plus, I can NOT wait for Rhett's book! I loved him in this book he was hilarious.

17788401
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

And my REVIEW

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher for the blog tour.

Simply amazing. I couldn't put it down once. I fell in love with the characters and the heartbreaking story that was told through the story. I loved it and, once again, Colleen Hoover doesn't disappoint with her story.

At first glance when I saw the cover, I didn't like it very much because of the simple fact that I hadn't read the book. Once you read the book it makes so much sense and you don't even want to change it one bit. It was just simply perfect.

The story: I loved it. I thought it was very interesting to see how Miles and Tate's story started from the very beginning with just sex to what they grew into. I thought it was a very sweet and unforgettable story of love and heartbreak and it was simply amazing to read and to be a part of.

The reason this book didn't get a solid 4 stars was because when I got to the tail end of it, I started to get very frustrated with Tate and some of her choices. It wasn't the only frustrating thing, but it was certainly up there. I felt I could compare with Tate very well but when she made those choices, some even near the beginning, I felt it wasn't very smart of her. I found it frustrating that she would allow herself to have just sexwith someone when she knew from the beginning she wouldn't be able to allow herself to have just sex. However, I can also understand because she doesn't feel she can manage to have love in her life so I can understand why she made the choices she made, I just don't agree.

Basically, this book is amazing and heartbreaking and awesome and much more words that mean you have to read the book the next chance you get. It was one of my new favourite reads. If you love Colleen, you're for sure to love this one.

Review: Popular: Vintage Wisdom for a Modern Geek by Maya Van Wagenen

18667753Title: Popular: Wisdom for a Modern Geek
Author: Maya Van Wagenen
Publisher: Dutton Juvenile
Pages: 272
Series: -
Release Date: April 15th 2014
Where I Got It: Chapters
Synopsis: A touchingly honest, candidly hysterical memoir from breakout teen author Maya Van Wagenen

Stuck at the bottom of the social ladder at pretty much the lowest level of people at school who aren’t paid to be here,” Maya Van Wagenen decided to begin a unique social experiment: spend the school year following a 1950s popularity guide, written by former teen model Betty Cornell. Can curlers, girdles, Vaseline, and a strand of pearls help Maya on her quest to be popular?

The real-life results are painful, funny, and include a wonderful and unexpected surprise—meeting and befriending Betty Cornell herself. Told with humor and grace, Maya’s journey offers readers of all ages a thoroughly contemporary example of kindness and self-confidence.

Maya Van Wagenen
Maya Van WagenenMaya Van Wagenen is fifteen years old. When she was eleven, her family moved to Brownsville, Texas, the setting of Popular. When not hunched over a desktop writing, Maya enjoys reading, British television, and chocolate. She now lives with her parents and two siblings in rural Georgia. She is a sophomore in high school but still shares a room with her sixth-grade brother. Remarkably, they have not yet killed each other.

Review

I read this book on July 7th 2014.

Amazing debut by Maya Van Wagenen - the 15 year old who published a book! Amazing, I could never imagine publishing a book now, let alone so young! It's amazing for her to be published so young.

Popular was an amazing true life story that I just enjoyed so much! It was so easy for me to compare, as I was not popular at all in my elementary years. I'd seen this book first on Christine (polandbananasBOOKS) channel and thought it sounded like something that might be inspiring to read. I was sort of an outcast that didn't seem to fit it. I had one friend not including my twin sister, and pretty much everyone else was an acquaintance. When I read this book, it had me going back to my eighth grade years wondering if I'd found a book like Maya had, if I'd have been brave enough to follow through on an experiment the way she had. I was quite amazed at her results and that really popularity is all just... confidence really.

I loved reading about Maya's experience and could really compare with her and it felt nice to have a true story that I could honestly know wasn't fake and that it wasn't a made up story. Popular was a nice change to all the fiction I've been reading these days and I am honestly saying that any reading fan will enjoy this novel to some extent.

Review

I read this book on June 26th 2014.

Abbi Glines has done it again! Written another one of her amazing novels that she just continues to write! I adore the Sea Breeze series and await her new releases, however I wasn't as happy with this book as I had hoped. I actually knew from the beginning that I wouldn't like Dewayne very much because I hadn't liked him in previous books and I just didn't find him swoon worthy the way I had with Cage, Preston, and Krit. Don't get me wrong, Dewayne was definitely swoon worthy -- just not MY swoon worthy.

I think the things that bugged me most about this book is just the fact that it kept coming to mind that Dewayne and Sienna could be -- and I use the term loosely --related. I'd try my best to just put it out of mind, but it kept rearing it's ugly head and haunting me. It was just painful at some points to read because of the simple fact that that was always on mind.

The good parts of this book is that it is true to life. I like that fact that Abbi Glines isn't afraid to show the consequences of sex, and not just sex, but teenage sex. Sienna had a very hard life through her teenage pregnancy and while with Micha after the birth. It was a nice change of air from some previous things I'd read where the characters never even where concerned about condoms and nothing happened to them.

I loved the romance between Dewayne and Sienna; another frustrating thing was the fact that it took a while for them to kiss and it's not that I mind, but there was so much sexual tension between them I felt choked by it half the time and I was yelling at my screen of my kindle for them to just freaking kiss already!

All in all, it was an ok book that I enjoyed but wished to see some differences but they could be easily overlooked because the book is just fun to read.
