I need one small favor...

Hey all! I just have to ask you a favor if you will. My brother is a video gamer and holds some world records for different video games. If you could just do me this one favor:

It starts at 9:30pm, so you can go to this website at that time:
http://www.twitch.tv/mitchflowerpower

You don't need to watch it at all! All I'm asking is if you guys could just put up the video on a new tab and you don't even need to go to it to watch it! You could just leave it running throughout the night on your labtop or computer, it would be really helpful if anyone and everyone could do this. Thanks so much guys and have a great day! Hopefully, I'll have up some reviews this week as well.

Update on Currently-Reading and TBR - Daughter of Smoke and Bone & The Liberator

OK, guys! I'm currently reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor and want to know if you guys got any recommendations! Next I'm reading THE LIBERATOR by Victoria Scott  and am so super excited to read it because I just can't wait to get back in Dante's head!

I want to know if you guys think I should read THE WARRIOR by Victoria Scott when I finish! I mean, the series has gorgeous covers first of all (that may be a push for me too) and the series is so popular! I know I've been reading lots of NA lately and can't wait to get back into YA! I think Daughter of Smoke and Bone and some Victoria Scott is a great way to do it!

So I'm pretty sure, like I said, the covers ALONE make any reader want to read them ASAP!
Comment below and let me know if you think I should read THE WARRIOR right away! OR if I should save it for later...?

All you fans out there of FOREPLAY by Sophie Jordan who are excited for TEASE, here's the trailer!

In case that doesn't work: Youtube Link

What happens when a girl who always calls the shots meets a guy who's too wild for even her?

A born flirt and good-time party girl, Emerson has never had a problem finding a willing guy. She's always chosen her hookups carefully, and she's never broken her three cardinal rules:

Never let them see the real you.
Never fall in love.
Always leave them begging for more.

Then Shaw comes along. A hottie from the wrong side of the tracks, he's immune to her flirtatious banter and come-hither smile. After rescuing her from a disastrous night at a biker bar, he doesn't even try to take her to bed—he calls her a tease and sends her home instead. Unable to resist a challenge, or forget the sexy, dark-eyed, bad-boy biker, she vows to bring him to his knees.

But instead of making Shaw beg, Emerson finds herself craving him. For the first time in her life, she's throwing out her rule book. Suddenly, she's the one panting for a guy she can't control—a guy who won't settle for anything less than the real Emerson and who forces her to do things she's never imagined, including facing a past she thought she'd buried.

A guy who just might leave her wanting more...

Excited? Comment below telling me what you think!

Books I Love - The Collector by Victoria Scott

I actually rated the Collector by Victoria Scott 2 stars. Really? Lots of people think that since I gave it 2 stars, I didn't like it. That's a wrong assumption.

Books for me, are not rated by their star level, but by how much I liked reading the book. My star rating are depended on the writing, character development, overall story, and how much I enjoyed it. Anyway....

The Collector by Victoria Scott was definitely a book I liked. I plan to read the Liberator this week or next week, then the Warrior because I enjoyed the story! It did seem a little predictable but, I really did enjoy the story and I'm glad I took the time to read it.

Why should you read it? If you loved Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout, then you'll love this book. That's not a joke, they were actually very similar and I loved it! Obsidian was one of my favourites, however, I didn't like Daemon. I didn't like Dante much either, but the story was still great! So go, rent it from your local library or buy it in store!

Bastards Brew Blog Tour

Displaying BrewTour banner.jpg

Displaying Bastards Brew 300px.jpgWhen L'Wren's ex-boyfriend Jeff suddenly disappears, she turns to Kevin to help her find him. With one phone call, Kevin makes sure that Jeff stays hidden and that L'Wren's heart is broken, leaving the door open for Kevin to pursue her. But Kevin is not as free as L'Wren thinks; she is in the dark about his affair with her stepmother, Savi. Savi constantly reminds Kevin of his devious ways and uses their secret to keep him as her toyfriend.

“You don’t deserve to be loved, and you don’t deserve to be happy. You and I are the same … we’re broken inside. Everything we touch, we destroy. We don’t get happily ever after … we don’t get to ride off into the sunset. You know who gets that? L’Wren … she gets it, she gets the guy, and she deserves a decent guy.”- Savi

Kevin desires to be the man that L'Wren deserves, but before he can assume the role of white knight, he brews one last plan to get rid of Savi for good. Will L'Wren, the innocent victim in their twisted game, become a casualty?

Kevin may have sold his body to the devil in stilettos, but he'd be damned if he let her have his heart.

EXCERPT

Kevin stared at the computer screen, pondering his fate with L’Wren. Did Savi tell her

about their affair? Would he ever hear from her again? Did she hate him? It killed him

thinking that she’d hate him for his indiscretions with her stepmother. Maybe it’d be best

if she found out now, before she got too involved, he told himself. Maybe he should be

the one to tell her. There was a knock on his office door, and Dwayne the bartender stuck

his neck in.

“You have a visitor,” he announced.

Kevin took a deep breath and wondered if L’Wren had come to cuss him out. He

nodded at Dwayne. Might as well get it over with, he told himself and stood up behind

his desk.

Savi strutted proudly into Kevin’s office. “Hello, lover,” she purred, then pulled him

in for a kiss and a nice, firm grope of his ass. “Miss me?”

He backed away from her.

Savi knew things had changed; she saw the way he looked at L’Wren, and knew she’d

have to work twice as hard to get him back to where they left off.

“What’s going on with you and L’Wren?” She took a seat on the couch where they’d

ravaged each other so many times in the last few months.

“Nothing.” Kevin sat behind his desk, relieved that Savi was a safe distance away.

“I’m kind of busy right now.”

“Nothing? Is that why she was grinning like a hyena after you left?”

“What did she tell you?”

“What is there to tell?” Savi studied him.

“I don’t have time for games, Savi. I have work to do. The pub is closed. If you want a

drink, come back later.” He dismissed her and pretended to look busy.

“Whatever you have with L’Wren, cut it out now. L’Wren is not like me. She’s

delicate and trusting, and I don’t want you playing around on her,” Savi stated crisply.

Kevin wondered if Savi was really protective or was this her way of marking her

territory.

“Did you tell her about us?”

“Why would I do that?”

“Look, Savi, I like L’Wren. I’m not gonna play around on her,” Kevin stated boldly.

Savi closed her eyes and absorbed his words, then took a deep breath.

Her silence made him uncomfortable. Was she falling for him? Did their fun and

games turn serious for her? He joined her on the couch.

“Savi, I don’t want to hurt you, but this thing with us has to end,” he said tenderly.

“Don’t come around my house again.” Her voice was icy.

Kevin was ready to agree to anything to get out of their affair. “Fine.”

“That doesn’t mean I want you for my stepdaughter.” She looked at him seriously.

“You’re a drug dealer, this pub is a front, and I don’t want you around my girls.”

“I’ll never do anything to hurt them,” Kevin said.

“You’re not a nice person, Kevin. You use people, and you hurt them. The friends you

have are only around you because they are afraid of you. Nobody likes you, and nobody

wants to be around you. It’s only a matter of time before L’Wren realizes that. You can’t

hide who you really are. You’re a monster.”

Savi’s words sliced into Kevin’s core.

“You don’t deserve to be loved, and you don’t deserve to be happy. You and I are the

same … we’re broken inside. Everything we touch, we destroy. We don’t get happily

ever after … we don’t get to ride off into the sunset. You know who gets that? L’Wren …

she gets it, she gets the guy, and she deserves a decent guy.” Savi saw the hurt in his eyes

and knew that he liked L’Wren more than he was letting on. Kevin was all she had, and

she had no intention of letting him go.

INTERVIEW

How did you come up for the idea for your books?

The Family Portrait series was a television series I'd written. I just fell in love with the characters and hadn't planned on anyone reading it. Then one day I got a feeling deep down to put it out in the world, I hired a story editor and proofreader, had the cover designed and the rest is history in the making.

When did you decide you wanted to become a writer?

It wasn't a decision to become a writer, I've always written. After a producer in Hollywood read the script and loved it, I figured maybe I could do this. Now I am committed. I love the business aspect of the whole process and indie publishing. I get to combine my 2 loves; writing and business.

Who was your favourite character to write in Bastard’s Brew and why?

That's a hard question because I love them all. In Bastard's Brew I would have to give that round to Kevin. He is developing quite a following with lady readers, so I was glad to give him the spotlight. I got to showcase him with his siblings, with the woman he sleeps with and with the woman he loves. Note: they are not the same people, and he is not the same person around any of them. I love the layers of his character in Bastard's Brew.

When you wrote these books, did you ever get very frustrated with the characters even though they’re your own?

Great question, YES! Adriana makes me a little crazy sometimes. She is wild and impulsive. She's like a wolf in a hen house.

Do you plan to continue these books, into a longer series?

Most definitely! The story is just getting started. I have 36 episodes of the television series written, I'm not saying 36 books but there are a lot of stories still left to tell. As long as there is an audience, the story will continue until it is done. Then I'll wrap it up and move on.

Can the books be read as stand-alones?

The Banovic Siblings (Book 2) can be read as a stand-alone but it has a cliff hanger. Changes (Book 1) is free on Amazon, iBooks, B&N, Smashwords and Kobo. It is an introduction to the characters and readers can then decide if they want to learn more about them or if the series is not for them. It's kind of risky doing it that way, but what is life without risks?

What was your favourite scene to write in Bastard’s Brew and why?

Your questions are awesome! (I am having fun with them). I'd have to say Chapter 20: Shame. On one hand you celebrate with Haze because his career is starting to take off, and then my heart broke for him because he has to go through this horrible thing that has happened. He's up one minute and down the next. Just like life right?

Sweet or sour? Both, together like Sweet n Sour chicken or sauce.

TV or Books? Books

Favourite TV Show? The Vampire Diaries.

Favourite Movie? The Wolf of Wall Street.

Thanks so much for your time, Gillian and congratulations on finishing Bastard’s Brew! Thanks for your questions they were fun. Glad to visit your site.

Tempting Rowan Blog Tour

Tempting Rowan by Micalea Smeltzer

I’m drowning in the numbness. It’s pulling me under and I can’t see the surface. It’s easier to pretend I can’t feel. And the longer you pretend, the easier it is to believe. But he wants to save me. Only he can’t. I have to save myself…and I don’t know if I want to.

Rowan Sinclair’s life has been anything but easy. With an alcoholic mother and a sleazy stepfather, it’s been her responsibility to raise her younger siblings. At twenty-one she’s chained to a life she doesn’t want, but sees no other alternative. After all, what would happen to her brother and sister if she were to leave?

Trenton Wentworth sees the pain behind Rowan’s eyes. He wants nothing more than to make it disappear. To hold her. To love her. Except Rowan keeps everyone at a safe distance. But if there’s anyone that can break down the walls she’s built around herself, it’s Trent. So she avoids him at all costs. But Trent isn’t one to be easily evaded. He’s stubborn and determined. He’ll save this girl even if it costs him everything.

Love, lies, and deception.

That’s the name of the game when you’re Tempting Rowan.

Yup, I know, it's all your dreams come true! Now, go buy it, this sale ends on May 11th!

And, even better.... AN EXCERPT!!

“What are you doing here?” I stuttered, looking around for a means of escape. I needed to get away from him before I did something stupid…like give into the temptation of Trenton.

Brilliant question, Rowan. I scolded myself when I realized what I’d asked him. Sometimes, words seemed to fly from my mouth without me thinking through what I was about to say. I really needed to work on that.

He chuckled, wetting his lips with the tip of his tongue. “It’s a library. There’s usually only one reason to be here.”

“Usually?” I questioned with a raised brow. What other reason would one have for coming to the library?

His smile widened. “Well,” he leaned towards me, his lips grazing the shell of my ear, “if you’re really quiet you can always have sex.” He pulled back, laughing at my wide-eyed expression. “I always did have a naughty librarian fantasy.” He looked me up and down and a blush stained my cheeks in what I was sure was an unflattering shade of red. My hair was pulled back, my tortoise shell glasses perched on the end of my nose since my contacts had been bothering me today, and I was wearing a pencil skirt and button down top. It might not have been naughty, but I was dressed like a librarian since I worked here after classes and studied before going home.

“I really need to go,” I explained, realizing that I was still standing in front of him like an idiot. I tried to push past him, but he ceased my efforts with a hand on my arm. His sweatshirt was rolled up, displaying the tattoos that covered his one arm. Tattoos I had been very intimately acquainted with once upon a time. I wondered if he even remembered.

“How could I forget?” He asked.

Oh, no. Had I said that out loud?

“You didn’t have to,” he answered my unspoken question. “I could see it in your eyes that you were thinking about that night.”I swallowed, my heart beating a mile a minute.

“You were the one that left, Rowan,” his voice held a tone of irritation. “You never gave me a chance to prove myself to you.” His thumb rubbed circles on my arm, still refusing to let me go, and it was like he thought I was an animal he could calm with a soft touch.

“You didn’t have to,” I yanked my arm from his grasp and glared at him. “I know what guys like you want from a girl like me. You got it, okay? There’s no need to keep up the farce of a good guy.”

He stared at me with a look of shock. His mouth opened and closed, gaping like a fish. He was at a loss for words and Trenton wasn’t the kind of guy to be left speechless.

I took this opportunity for what it was, and all but ran out the doors of the library. I had to get away from him. If I stood there a second longer I wouldn’t be able to resist him. From the moment I first laid eyes on Trent, when I moved to Winchester my freshman year of high school, I’d been under his

“Rowan!” He called after me, but I kept walking like I hadn’t heard him. “You’re the one acting like a player! So, what?! I was good enough to fuck once but I’m not good enough to give a chance?!”

Those words hit me like a slap in the face. Not because they were true, but because they were so very wrong. Trent didn’t know the real me. No one did. If he found out about me, about what I had done, he wouldn’t want anything to do with me. I knew that, so I was only trying to spare him. It had been five years since we lost our virginity to each other on a school camping trip our sophomore year. I’d have thought by now he would’ve forgotten about me, but Trent wasn’t like most guys. He actually cared. He was real. And he was perfect. I didn’t deserve him, frankly no one did. But for some reason, he thought I was someone worth caring about. But if he knew the kind of person I really was he’d run as far away from me as his feet would take him. I reached the sidewalk and turned to see him standing on the steps staring at me.

“Answer me,” his voice was raised, but not angry. He sounded hurt and that broke my heart, because I was the one causing him pain. If he’d leave me alone, he wouldn’t have to feel that way. But Trent wasn’t the type of guy to give up. Whenever we ran into each other it was like…he still cared about me, and I couldn’t understand it. I ran away from him after we had sex and ignored him through the rest of high school. On the rare occasions when I was forced to interact with him, I was less than friendly. He needed to stay away. I couldn’t afford to let him get close. “Girls like me don’t end up with guys like you,” I told him and he flinched like I had slapped him.

“Guys like me, huh?” His jaw flexed. “Funny,” he descended the remaining few steps and stood in front of me. He stared at me for a moment, anger and sadness stormed in his eyes. “Because somehow, in this situation,” he pointed to him and then me, “it seems like I’m the one that got used. Not you.”

Okay, it just keeps getting better! GIVEAWAY TIME!!!!

Review

I read this book on April 26th 2014.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sienna Ally, who's "18-years-old" had a new project. His name is Ian. Honestly, this book was much better than Mischief in Miami. I found it more funny and entertaining. I liked to see two sides of Eve's project, Ian and the other project that will remain unnamed.

This story was entertaining because us as readers learn of something. Now, most readers will assume this would happen, but for it to really happen, it makes you want to punch a wall (or girl). There is competition. And Eve runs into it one her second project in this book. And it made me so mad. Readers out there, if you're reading this review to figure out if you should give the second one a try, go buy it now! Scandal in Seattle is much more entertaining and fun to read!

I recommend this series to fans of Nicole Williams because if you haven't given it a shot yet, you'll be sorry when you do give it a try that you didn't earlier.

Release Date: March 21st 2013
Series: Great Exploitations #1
Where I Got It: Amazon.com (Kindle)

Synopsis: Seduction. Infidelity. Blackmail. Scandal. It can all be bought for the right price and for Sienna Stevens, business is good.

Because she’s in the business of Great Exploitations.

She’s an Eve, a member of a secret society of women contracted by the wives of wealthy, powerful men for one reason and one reason only: to seduce their husbands. To ensure their pre-nuptial agreement will be null and void thanks to a little loophole known as the Infidelity Clause. To ensure that those wives don’t find themselves on the other side of a divorce without a penny to their name.

When it comes to the Eves, Sienna’s one of the best because she follows the number one rule of the Eves to the letter: don’t let it get personal.

When the job file of her wealthiest client yet falls into her lap, Sienna realizes that this case could be the one that’s impossible to detach herself from. The payout would lead to her independence, but will the cost be too high in the end?

Review

I read this book on April 25th 2014.

I love this author. Ever since the first book I read by Nicole Williams (CRASH) I knew I had to read the rest of her books. Now, I'm not really a fan of adult fiction or erotica and many people were saying this was an erotica book. Then, after about 6 months of not wanting to read it, I got an email from AToMR PRomotions. Nicole Williams was giving a few bloggers Scandal in Seattle for review. And since I knew I loved every other book by the author, I decided to ask for a copy. Mischief in Miami was for free on kindle so I bought it and read it in a day.

I was very shocked. I actually really liked the story, even if it felt a little strange. I was intrigued to know more about Eve's past and who she thinks about all those times and where her mind wanders to. I don't know how someone could do a job these character's in the story had, but it was entertaining to read. Eve is 25 and sounds like she's been in the business a while. However, I don't understand how she could be comfortable being with guys over 40; that being said, most of the time she would just pretend they where someone else (who I am intrigued to know more about!).

With everything said, I actually really enjoyed the story and look forward to finishing the series. Thank you Nicole Williams! I love your books!
