Wow. So much to say, so little space to say it. Basically, I love it. Abbi Glines is one of my favourite authors and I can't explain my excitement when I see a new book by her. Honestly, when I see that, I might as well just give it 5 stars because I know I'll love it. Like I loved this one. Honestly, this has got to be my favourite book in the Rosemary Beach series so far. I mean, I loved, loved loved Woods; but... then there's Grant, but also Tripp. How to decide. But after I read this book, uh yeah, no brainer. I fell for the cowboy.
I found this story to be different from Abbi's usual route; it felt different because of Reese's upbringing and the abuse she grew up with. It was interesting to see Reese and Mase fall for one another without sex being a huge factor. I mean, obviously they were both sexually attracted to one another, but Reese was guarded unlike any other girl in the Rosemary Beach series because of the abuse she suffered. And Mase was definitely different from Rush, Woods, Grant, and Tripp. He wasn't a rich kid growing up, I mean sure, Kiro was his father, but he chose a different route and I loved his character and choices. The awesome thing about this book was there wasn't a random break-up in the middle of it.
The story was great. Abbi set it up as if she knew exactly what was going to happen when, and it didn't seem to have any parts in the story that were unclear. It flowed well and I must say, I loved Mase and Reese together; they compliment each other so well. Honestly, every time I read an Abbi Glines book, she always chooses the perfect couple, it's awesome that characters aren't always just like one another. Another success for Abbi Glines.
If you loved any of the Rosemary Beach, READ THIS. YOU WILL LOVE IT.
