Title: Pure
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
Pages: 329
Release Date: April 3rd 2012
Series: Covenant #2
Where I Got It: Library
Synopsis: There is need. And then there is Fate.
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon--and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude--or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

Review
I read Pure on May 31st 2013.
Okay, I have been waiting for this book from the library for ever because I wanted to finish Deity, Elixir and Apollyon because I own them and I can't read them unless I read the second.
Let's start with Aiden. Alex practically threw herself at him and he told her not only that he couldn't have her, but he doesn't want her. So, that is a totally new jerk level in him. He just bothered me in this book and I really thought he was the one I'd really like in the series but it turned out to be Seth. Hopefully, with more books, Aiden grows on me because I'd really like to read more about him and find his secrets out.
Alexandria. She was incredibly cocky and rude but funny nonetheless. I enjoyed seeing her progress over the book, especially with Seth. She was funny but not to the point where it was annoying. I also found her quite shy at some points. Actually, shy isn't the right word; more like out of her personality. She just seemed different at some points.
Seth. He was... not what I expected him to be. Since Aiden dumped Alex to the ground, he took her in and, ultimately, she and him fell in 'love'. This book has made me go to team Seth. He was incredibly sweet and lovable to Alex. It bothers me to see Alex think she loves Seth and at any chance she gets, run towards Aiden. I mean, personally, I'm more of a Seth girl with his hot body and fiery attitude but if Alex wants Aiden, she and him would make a great couple. As long as he was sweet and changes his attitude.
I really wish that I could stay with Aiden but he treated her so badly but after reading some of the EXTRAS by Jennifer, I kind of have to say I'm into both guys but I really do wonder who Alex will choose...
I would recommend this series to readers of Jennifer L. Armentrout and people who are fans of paranormal/fantasy romance books.
